Starting at Gertelbach car park for walkers, walk for just under 1.5 km to get to the point where the waterfalls start. You will then need to head uphill to the Wiedenfelsen Rock Formation via forest paths and steps. You can start out at a moderate level of effort but this will need to increase later. You will see a mixture of stunning cascades of water and striking rock formations along the way. You can enjoy wonderful views of the countryside against a mountainous backdrop from the Wiedenfelsen Rock Formation and the Herta-Hütte cabin at the top of the Falkenfelsen Rock Formation. Beneath the Herta-Hütte cabin, there is a guest house called Kohlbergwiese where you can stop off for a break. This is perfect for children as they can let off some steam away from any traffic thanks to the play equipment, little stream and play area.
