TOURDESCRIPTION

The 40 km biosphere trail starts in Dahn and leads you along the French-German Pamina cycle trail to Bruchweiler-Bärenbach first. The entire circular trail is characterized by the alternation betweendense forests and open valley meadows with quietly embedded villages. Starting from Dahn, this trail circles around the southern part of the Palatinate Forest-North Vosges Biosphere Reserve and leads cyclists through four stream valleys. The Palatinate Forest-North Vosges Biosphere Reserve is the first cross-border biosphere reserve of Europe recognized byUNESCO. Numerous rock castles and sandstone formations mark this landscape. Come and experience nature’s correlations in the nature park in and around the biosphere house in Fischbach, for example on the tree top path in a height of 18-35 metres.
