The new leisurely routes bring the region around Karlsruhe and Wissembourg to life. Developed around the theme of "culinary delights", the cross-border cycle tours invite you to discover the specialities of Northern Alsace, the Palatinate and the northern Black Forest over a length of up to 400 kilometres.

Cross-border bike tour "sweets and chocolate"

This "sweet" tour is something for connoisseurs. The German-French cycle tour follows many well-known cycle paths and leads to the best ice cream parlours, confectioners, chocolatiers and pâtisseries in Baden, Alsace and the Palatinate. Along the "route du chocolat", the "chocolate route", which runs mainly in Alsace, you can look over the shoulders of the excellent chocolatiers and pâtissiers, such as Pralinenmanufaktur Rebmann in Bad Bergzabern (Palatinate), Pâtisserie Rebert in Wissembourg or Chocolaterie Daniel Stoffel and Pâtisserie Heitz in Haguenau (Alsace) and enjoy the sweet delicacies. The confectionery museum in Gochsheim (Baden) offers guided tours with chocolate tasting. With a total length of around 387 km, the "sweet seduction" offers varied cycling pleasure for up to seven days. Flat cycle paths along the Rhine and through the Rhine plain alternate with sporty climbs in the Kraichgau and Alb valleys. A selection of accommodations along the route will allow you to cover the circuit in several stages. Cross-border leisurely route along the orchard meadows in Black Forest, Alsace and Palatinate

This French-German bicycle tour will delight you throughout the seasons. In spring, you will cross landscapes of flowering and perfumed orchards. Then in summer and autumn, when the trees bear their fruit and the harvest begins, you can discover and appreciate the diversity of local products. The cross-border tour passes through beautiful wine villages (Palatinate), market gardens, fruit farms and distilleries (Alsace) and numerous producer stores (Baden).The cycling routes along the Rhine and the Rhine plain are not very difficult, while the sections in the Palatinate forests and in the Kraichgau will delight the more athletic with a strong drop.

The numerous "Open Farm Days" offered in the region invite you to discover the life of the farms and to taste their products. A selection of accommodations along the route will allow you to cover the circuit in several stages. We have divided the tour into several 3-day round trips, each about 130 km long.

Hilly and sweeping, you will ride over the hilly vineyards, easy and leisurely on flat cycle paths through the Rhine plain and along the Rhine. Time and again, restaurants with their regional cuisine and winegrowers with their wine taverns invite you to enjoy a stop or visit one of the many convivial wine festivals that are celebrated in many towns throughout the year. The many accommodations along the route make it possible to do the tour in several stages. We have divided the tour into several 3-day round trips, from  106 up to 172 km.

Cross-border leisurely route "Beer & brewing culture"

On this cross-border bike tour, you can discover the diversity of French and German brewing art and learn interesting facts about brewery and beer culture, for example during a guided tour in one of the breweries. "Bellheimer" in the southern Palatinate, "Hoepfner" in Karlsruhe, "Hopfenschlingel" in Rastatt, "Météor" in Alsace are just some of the names of the breweries you will pass by on your bike. A variety of landscapes, walks in charming little villages or in large cities such as Karlsruhe, pleasant bike rides in the Rhine plain as well as sporty climbs in the northern Black Forest or in the Northern Vosges - the variety of stages on this cross-border tour will fill you with joy.
